Executive Director, Erin Matthews Thomas

Senior Program Officer, Imani Amponsah

Mrs. Amponsah is the Senior Program Officer at the Foundation and is responsible for overseeing the Foundation’s grant programs.

Prior to this role, she was with the Infectious Diseases Society of America and led efforts to enhance the development of clinical practice guidelines. She has gained experience at a variety of nonprofit organizations, including Alternative Paths Training School, NDUTIME Youth and Family Services, Center for Cultural Experiences in Prevention, and the East End Pregnancy Center. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Master of Social Work degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, with specializations in African American Studies and Global Education. She is passionate about helping and learning from others, and strongly believes in the power of meeting others where they are to help create change at the individual, community, and societal levels. Program Assistant, Joseph Merino

Mr. Merino is the Program Assistant at the Foundation and is responsible for providing general administrative and programmatic support for overall Foundation operations.

Prior to joining Potomac Health Foundation, he was a Vascular Technologist for a private clinic located in Vienna, VA. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Forensic Science from Elon University in Elon, North Carolina. To email Joseph click here.
