Potomac Health Foundation Strategic Planning Informational Session

Dear Community Partners:

Potomac Health Foundation was established in 2009 to improve the health of the communities of eastern Prince William County, Southern Fairfax, and North Stafford counties. The Foundation has pursued that mission through responsive grantmaking focused on expanding access to health care, reducing preventable diseases, and supporting innovation.

As many of you know, the Foundation board and staff spent much of 2015 and 2016 evaluating our progress to date, examining the changing needs of the communities we serve, and considering how we might refine our approach to deepen our impact. At their December meeting, the Potomac Health Foundation Board of Directors approved a strategic plan for 2017-2020, refining the mission statement: to improve the health of the community by increasing access to health care for the medically underserved.

We would like to invite you to an information session about the new Strategic Plan on Tuesday, January 31 at 2:00 p.m. at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center, Hylton Education Center Room D. At the information session, staff will share about the implications of the new strategic plan on future grant making focus areas, core Foundation strategies, and on current grantees and grant agreements, as well as answer any questions.

Please also note that in addition to the information session, we will be meeting with various stakeholders in the coming months across the community to converse on the implementation process.

Please R.S.V.P. to Kukua Osei-Gyamfi at kukua@potomachealthfoundation.org no later than noon on Thursday, January 26, 2017.

Happy New Year to all of you and many thanks for all you do to improve the health of the community!
