Each year, Greater Prince William Coalition for Human Services gives recognition to hard working human service workers in Prince William County through their Labor of Love awards. In 1999, The Coalition established performance awards to recognize human service workers and supervisory personnel based on level of experience and responsibility. This year, one of our grantees, Cynthia Dudley (Executive Director of the Prince William Drop-in Center), was a Coalition for Human Services Labor of Love recipient. Here is an excerpt from her nomination:
Cynthia is a very special person. She has dedicated her life to helping others, specifically people with mental health issues. She has a special kind of empathy and is also an excellent ‘reader’ of people. She can tease out, so to speak, what is going on with someone, listen and gently help them where they are at.
Potomac Health Foundation wants to congratulate Cynthia and the Prince William Drop-In Center for all the hard work they do to ensure Prince William County is a safe place for people with mental health illness.
